A Southern California creative production company specializing in private events, immersive brand experiences, and custom fabrication.
Every client comes to us for something different, but they're all looking for the same thing—a team that understands their vision and has the expertise to bring it to life. That's why our work is organized into three specialized areas, allowing every client to work with experts who understand their unique goals while benefiting from the creativity, craftsmanship, and collaboration of one company.
What began as a small family business has grown into a multidisciplinary team trusted by families, brands, agencies, and companies. Whether we're designing a milestone celebration, producing a nationwide brand activation, or fabricating a custom environment, we combine creative vision with technical execution to deliver experiences that are thoughtfully designed, beautifully built, and seamlessly produced.

Lisa & Scott Sakakura — Founders
Different Backgrounds. One Shared Vision.
The Simple Luxe was founded by husband-and-wife team Lisa and Scott Sakakura, bringing together decades of experience in creative direction, sales, engineering, fabrication, and business development.
While their careers followed different paths, they shared one belief: the best experiences happen when creativity and execution work together. That philosophy continues to guide every project we take on today.
Founder & Creative Director
Lisa Sakakura
Lisa brings over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing and more than a decade in fashion design and creative direction. Throughout her career, she has led creative teams, developed products, built brands, and created customer experiences with a strong focus on storytelling, trend forecasting, and visual presentation.
Creativity has always been at the center of Lisa's life. From designing fashion collections and handcrafted pieces to creating memorable gatherings for family and friends, she has always believed that even the simplest moments deserve intention, beauty, and a personal touch.
Today, Lisa leads the creative vision behind The Simple Luxe, overseeing creative direction, concept development, design, styling, branding, and the overall client experience across every project.
Founder & Director of Fabrication
Scott Sakakura
Scott brings over a decade of mechanical engineering experience, contributing to projects supporting NASA, Formula 1, and leading oil and gas companies, while earning patents and traveling nationwide and internationally as a Sales Engineer.
Alongside engineering, Scott has always had a passion for woodworking, fabrication, and building. His ability to combine technical precision with creative problem-solving has become the foundation of The Simple Luxe's custom fabrication capabilities.
Today, Scott leads engineering, fabrication, logistics, production, and installation, ensuring every project is thoughtfully engineered, beautifully built, and delivered with exceptional quality.

OUR STORY
HOW WE GOT HERE
The Simple Luxe began in early 2020 with a borrowed $5,000, a small collection of curated rentals, and a dream to create more meaningful experiences.
“Just weeks after launching, the events industry came to a standstill as COVID changed the world.”
With their first child on the way and a brand-new business operating from their garage, Lisa and Scott chose to adapt instead of give up. They embraced new ways for families to celebrate, expanded into balloon artistry, and built a reputation for creativity, quality, and service during one of the industry's most challenging seasons.
Over the past six years, The Simple Luxe has grown alongside their family. While building the business, Lisa and Scott also welcomed four children, learning firsthand that building a company and raising a family require many of the same values—patience, resilience, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to the people who matter most.
As clients trusted them with bigger ideas, the company naturally evolved. Private celebrations grew into full-service event design. Event design expanded into custom fabrication. Fabrication opened the door to immersive brand experiences. Today, The Simple Luxe proudly partners with families, brands, agencies, and companies across Southern California and beyond, bringing every idea to life through one collaborative team.
